Hello Grafted In Reader,
Today is Nov. 30 in my corner of blog-land. Winter has arrived with cold but minimal amount of snow thus far!
I am halfway through reading and enjoying the book title, Little Women, by Louisa May Alcot. The book revolves around a mom and four girls, mom's daughters. There are nuggets of wisdom and encouragement given throughout. Call them timeless truths, common sense, but worth noting, and maybe, worth practicing in our own lives with others. One such is:
“Have regular hours for work and play; make each day both useful and pleasant, and prove that you understand the worth of time by employing it well. Then youth will bring few regrets, and life will become a beautiful success.”
― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women
This quote is from a scene in which Mom speaking to one of her younger daughters about balance between work, play, the mundane and the wanted.
May the presence of the Holy One be refreshing to all of us this season!
Thanks for dropping by. Your visit's appreciated!
