Happy Season of Refreshing Renewal!
Hello Grafted In Readers,
Today is March 30-, 2026 in my corner of blog lanbd. It has been a full month in my opinion.
- I had an active crowd on St. Patrick's day afternoon at a local restaurant where I play piano most weekends.
- The NCAA basketball tournament began on March 19, and ends next Monday evening, April 6. I have viewed several games and my wife too has joined me in this annual tradition.
- Holy Week is in progress for Christians, and Passover for Jews and Hebraic Believers begins on Wednesday at sunset. Each share in common, celebration of freedom from slavery. Slavery to secret 'sins' and slavery from oppressive influences.
Resurrection Sunday is starting to replace the pagan-based term, Easter Sunday. That occurs on April 5, which incidentally is the birthday of someone I knew earlier in life!
For the past few weeks, I read a Christian Classic titled, The Knowledge Of The Holy, by the late A.W. Tozer.
He, like most Christians, views faith from a Greek stance versus Hebrew or Hebraic stance. A major theme for him is that the need to expand our view of God is essential in our modern era.
As to faith, hear is a short snippet differentiating the two views held about faith:
The Hebraic definition of faith (emunah) centers on action, steadfastness, and faithfulness, picturing a person standing firm, while the Greek definition (pistis) focuses on trust, intellectual conviction, and assurance.
Writing and Reading
I continue to be active with both writing and reading. I have a story in the current issue of "New Authors Journal" (available for under $8.00 in print from Amazon.com).
I will also have a forthcoming story in the summer issue of this publication. Others too offer poetry, articles, photography and such to make this an impressive read.
I am starting to read another Freida McFaddin title, Dead Med. Just finished the Winter issue, Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. The January/February issue has some lengthy stories this time!
